I learned how to draw at our kitchen table when I was a young girl. My father started our lesson by having me sketch a quintessential figure composed of simple geometric shapes: Spongebob Squarepants. By the afternoon, I had mastered the absorbent fry cook's classic silhouette.

As I grew older, I ventured into other media, from paint to clay to photography to makeup. I practiced creative writing and classical piano from elementary through high school. I always had a special soft spot for scrapbooking and multimedia collage.

I went on to study marketing and art at Texas A&M University, with an emphasis on new media design. I work as a digital marketing professional in Houston, where I live with with my wife and two cats.
